With Gratitude

The work of WMPA Inc. would not be possible without the help of our volunteers.

In the season of giving thanks, we'd like to introduce a few of those who help make our mission a reality. We are forever grateful for your time!

Sandra J Why I Volunteer: I started volunteering for WMPA because a local girl went missing from Antigo in 2009. I always shared all the posts regarding her in hopes someone would see them and have answers so her mom Hope can have some kind of closure. I lost my stepdaughter to the h1n1 flu in 2009 on her 25th birthday 11/09/2009 and I know how hard that was for me and I had answers why she is gone. Hope has no answer why Kayla is gone and I just can't even imagine. Once I started sharing the posts from Kayla's missing page it lead me to WMPA. I help because I understand how important it is to keep the information out there for the missing. We need to be their voice in hopes that someone will see a post and be prompted to say something. About Me: I work for Kwik Trip as a assistant store leader. I work quite a bit so when I get time off I love spending time with my family including a spoiled rotten chihuahua. I love taking pictures nature sunflowers are a favorite as they remind me of my Mom.

Kaitlin A Why I Volunteer: I found WMPA through social media and was immediately drawn to the organization. I wanted to help support their mission and spread awareness in my community. About Me: I live in Shawano, WI and I'm currently attending Harvard University for my Masters in Strategic Management. I love spending time outdoors with my boyfriend, Jeremy, and our husky-lab mix, Lexi.

Abigail M Why I Volunteer: I was looking for a local organization that I felt had a meaningful message and impact on the community. I really admired what WMPA stood for and how they treat every missing person’s case equally and empathetically. WMPA is a wonderful organization and I am so happy to volunteer.

About Me: I’ve been a photographer for the past 10 years and live in Neenah with my family. When I’m not working I enjoy reading, hiking and collecting vintage decor.

Samantha Z Why I Volunteer: Ever since I was little I've been deeply affected by the idea of missing persons. I can remember being in Walmart and standing in front of the wall of missing persons flyers trying to remember faces. For a long time, it was my dream to work for the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (still a wonderful organization! My goals have just shifted a bit). I stumbled upon WMPA by happenstance and knew I had to reach out. About Me: I've been working in mental health for about 5 years, most recently as an admissions coordinator for a facility that works with eating disorders. Next month I graduate with a masters degree in Criminal Justice and I'm excited to see where that takes me. In my free time I love a good game night, a good book, spending time with my friends and partner, cooking, and hanging out with my 5 year old Shiba Inu Charlie.

On behalf of all of us here at Wisconsin Missing Persons Advocacy, Inc, Thank you to ALL of our volunteers for offering their time and talent to help bring a voice to the Missing! We couldn't do what we do without all of you! With Sincere Gratitude.... THANK YOU!!!
